As we approach the end of another year enjoying the Iowa outdoors, I just wanted to take a little time to thank everyone who is a fan of IYBYI and especially to those who participate on this website.
The show will begin its last run for the year beginning on Sunday as we conclude another 26 week run which began in July. I think in total we aired some 18-20 shows over those weeks and I had a great time doing everyone. Next year you will see us cut back to 13 total shows and just double run them over a 26 week period.
Some inside information for those who follow us on the web is we are working very hard to get our show on Iowa Public Television, because we feel it's the best venue for us and will put us in every house hold in Iowa. We're going to be building a demo tape and if accepted, restructure our show to not only show off the outdoors in Iowa, but put weekly spots on camping and general outdoor tricks among other things to make our show be as informational as possible while continuing to explore Iowa.
For those of you who have emailed me about getting back to explaining techniques and tackle, I'm going to do that as well. Sometimes I'm just having so much fun fishing I forget to let everyone know what I'm doing and how I'm doing it!
I'd also like to ask everyone to support the sponsors of IYBYI when possible, because without them we'd not be finishing our third season under some very tough economic conditions. The people who put money behind us to allow us to purchase air times are the reason Iowa outdoors gets highlighted for 26 weeks and our show gets to air.
Finally, I'd like to wish everyone a happy holiday season. I'll be honest, Christmas is not my favorite holiday of the season, which is no surprise for those who know me. Thanksgiving is more up my alley, when family can celebrate together over good food and an afternoon in the field hunting. But none the less, I hope everyone and thier families are safe during this time, and while I know many are moving on to the ice for some hard water fishing, I'll be back into the field chasing whitetail deer for late bow and muzzleloader.
Again, thanks to those who participate on the site and for those who just read, which there are many, please start posting your outdoor adventures so others can share in your successes.
